Discover the Healing Arts of the Pacific with Ho'omana

February 17 - February 27, 2027

Kumu Jeana Iwalani Naluai, alongside Audie & Caroline Beazley invite you on a deeply immersive voyage in February 2027 through the sacred landscapes of Aotearoa New Zealand exploring the cross-cultural Polynesian healing, ancestral ceremony, elemental practice, and transformation

Beginning in Auckland with an authentic Māori welcome ceremony, participants will journey through native forests, geothermal lands, black sand beaches, waterfalls, and the breathtaking beauty of Lake Taupō while studying Romi Romi, Mana Ola, Ho’oponopono, movement, breathwork, and ancestral healing practices.

This is not a retreat. It is a voyage — a living curriculum written by the land, the tīpuna, and the healing traditions of two Polynesian peoples who, though separated by ocean, were never truly apart.

r
are opportunity to experience the cultural wisdom, elemental energies, and transformative healing traditions woven throughout the land of Aotearoa

Aotearoa New Zealand is one of those rare places on earth where the wairua — the living spiritual essence — is so present it changes you simply by being near it. Born from volcanic fire, shaped by ancient water, and held in the unbroken spiritual intelligence of the Māori people, this land does not offer a backdrop for healing. It participates in it. Its mauri rises through geothermal springs and blue-green lakes, rests in the pounamu carried by healers for generations, and pulses through colossal fern forests that reach cathedral heights. When you arrive here with intention, with training, with Aloha — the land recognizes you. And it answers.

From the pōwhiri ceremony that welcomes us onto the marae with bare feet on sacred earth, to the final morning breathing beside Huka Falls as light moves across the water, every day we step into the spiritual sacred together — in Romi Romi and Lomi Lomi bodywork, in Ho'oponopono ancestral clearing, in meditation, elemental practice, and ceremony held by master facilitators Audie & Caroline Beazley and Kumu Jeana Naluai. We soak in geothermal pools. We sail to the Ngātoroirangi rock carvings on Lake Taupō. We hold pounamu. We receive the oral transmission of Māori cultural wisdom. We allow the land, the tīpuna, and the Aroha of this Polynesian healing convergence to do what no training room ever could — remind the body, the mind, and the wairua of what they already know.

This pilgrimage is for the Lomi Lomi practitioner whose tīpuna are whispering, who trusts their intuition enough to say yes to something that cannot be explained — only lived. Spaces are intimate and limited. If your wairua is already saying yes — honor that. It knows.

Basic Romi Romi

Alignment Bodywork is a potent, quick and direct process for clearing stagnant blocked or unwanted energies to reset the whole being back to a balanced state of energy flow.

Body alignment and stretching
Triggering pressure points to assist the body to heal itself
Deep tissue massage
Hands on energy work and light massage / mirimiri

Romi Romi is a Maori Healing Art that originates from Ancient Waananga Lore. Our teaching lineage comes through Papa Hohepa Delamere of Te Whanau Apanui

Polynesian Integrative Therapies

For the practitioner called to healing as both an embodied art and a sacred spiritual path, Polynesian Integrative Therapies offers a profound immersion into the wisdom traditions of the Pacific.

Rooted in the healing lineages of Hawai‘i and Aotearoa, this integrative approach weaves together Lomi Lomi, ancestral healing, elemental practice, breathwork, intuitive development, and spiritual embodiment into a deeply transformative experience for both practitioner and client.

Through mindful touch, presence, and communication that reaches down to the level of the bones, you will explore healing beyond the physical body — where ancestral memory, energetic imprinting, emotional restoration, and spiritual transformation unfold together.

This work invites you into a living relationship with Aroha, Wairua, and the intelligence of the body. You will deepen your ability to hold sacred space while learning practices that support clearing, alignment, and reconnection across the physical, emotional, energetic, and ancestral realms.

Polynesian Integrative Therapies is more than a modality — it is a pathway of embodiment, remembrance, and reconnection. A return to healing that honors the body as sacred, the breath as medicine, and the wisdom of the ancestors as a living force moving through us all.

Ho’omana’s Lomi Lomi sources from the lineage of the Big Island. This Lomi Lomi comes from lineage holder Auntie Margaret Machado who has now passed on. The idea behind this Lomi style then is to bring the persons spirit, mindset and bones back into alignment, the practice is known as Ho’onohoiwi (bone movers) and is advanced in comparison to most level one trainings available. Our intention is to connect with the individual down to the level of the bones and is very specific and therapeutic work.

Because of the process of this style of Lomi, the courses are incremental; therefore students need to have completed the following courses to attend this retreat..
Lomi Lomi Fundamentals
Advanced Core & Skeletal
Advanced Extremities

When Lomi is a path that you are passionate about, no training will be without value but will serve the greater understanding of the practice as a whole.

If you would like to attend the Polynesian Healing Adventure and haven’t completed the Advanced Training, there is still time in our Lomi Mastership

Please reach out to us at classes@lomimassage.com if you have more questions.

At this time, only 3 packages are offered for the New Zealand Culture Tour as listed above.

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion for Basic Romi Romi and Polynesian Integrative Therapies

In ancient times, Lomi Lomi was family work, used to keep everyone in the home healthy and strong. Ho’omana’s style of lomi comes from the therapeutic approach of the 6 lineages of Hawaiian elders Kumu Jeana Iwalani Naluai had the privilege of studying with.

Ho’omana Lomi Lomi trainings are for anyone who wants to learn to access their own healing legacy that can serve your family, community and the world.
