“Hoomana” – means to empower. In the Hawaii of old, families would offer their MANA (spiritual power) in service to their aumakua. Eg. A certain shark that would come to be fed. This act  would ensure that the mana being shared would result in the aumakua guiding, protecting,  and caring for future generations. Anytime mana is offered up towards ones self and others, a reciprocated energy builds and is met with universal support.
