Laulima is a Hawaiian word meaning cooperation or many hands.
In this way, is used to describe hands on healing. During my European Lomi Sharing Tour in March, I had some really wonderful experiences. I’d like to share with you the details of one man’s transformational encounter with Laulima. During our
Kua Lua Hawaiian Backwalking class in Switzerland, our beautiful host asked if we needed a demo body to work on. Her husband has been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia and she wanted to see if we could work with him. She was not sure if Hawaiian backwalking would be appropriate for him in his condition. After checking in with spirit, I kept getting a big YES to work with him, even if only to walk on him standing along side the body. Before beginning, I had all the students gather in a circle around him. Half of the students gathered around him and placed their hands on him. The other half gathered in a greater circle around the inner circle and placed their hands on the backs of those in front. We all chanted together and sent 3 big Ha- breaths. The tears were streaming down my face as I felt the overwhelming love and care offered by our laulima circle. The magnitude of energy pouring through was so powerful!!!! Afterward, I asked him how he felt. He shared that he could feel the two rings of energy that surrounded him distinctly and that he had held back his tears because he didn’t want to cry. I knew that the tears that had poured out from me were to help move his energy where he was not able to in the moment. This is beautiful confirmation of how connected we are when we stand in someone’s sacred energy space.
Our laulima circle was an incredible demonstration of just how much power is generated when we gather together with loving intention.
This practice of laulima is a concept shared by Kumu Harry Uhane Jim found in this video. This cooperative force can also send healing over great distance as we meditate on our desired outcome. How you would like to see the power of laulima in your life? Tell me in the comments below. If you like this post, please share it with your friends. It’s exciting to imagine what can happen in our communities, countries, and planet when we put our hands and hearts together.

Mariposa, it does get a bit difficult to reintegrate after a powerful month long training like our amazing April Immersion. When you lift and shift, it can sometimes cause initial chaos around you because life where you were has to find it’s place in the new space you are holding. I am sure you are well adjusted but certain that although you have returned to the same place, you are not the same Mariposa. Keep spreading your wings and shining your light.
This was amazing. Touch with intention is so powerful!!! Thanks so much for sharing this video and preceding story. You share aloha love where ever you go. Thank you so much for the open sharing of you gifts.

I am so glad that you enjoyed this video. It would be great to bring Uncle Harry Jim to Ho’omana to share his wisdom. I’m so inspired. Perhaps we can bring him next spring. Any opportunity to sit at the feet of an elder is an invaluable gift.
