Baby Girl Heleikahelelaninokealaikala Tafuri Naluai was born January 30, 2016.
She is a calm, gentle spirit who has brought so much sweetness to our household. She was born sunny side up, which means that she was face up instead of face to the spine. The doctors said that this type of delivery is 10 times more difficult than a breech position.
She was ready to face the world and didn’t want to miss a thing. She is perfect and healthy, and we are so grateful.
My recovery has been a little slower than hers but I am on the mend being able to walk a little further every day.
The two hours of pushing under anesthesia witha midwife stretching my leg up on one side while Justin lifted my leg up on the other side left me a bit overstretched in the middle without the sensitivity to give feedback.
Whew!! I completely forgot what it takes to push a baby out. I think this is the masterful design of Ke Akua so that we will continue to want to procreate.
Our family is now complete with our 2 strong boys and 2 sweet girls. It was a magical moment bringing this little miracle into the world.
Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes that we received from around the globe and a special mahalo to our community for the 2 week dinner delivery meal train that provided us with constant love and nourishment through this time. Feeling loved and blessed.
